Climate Champions

We are designated ‘climate champions’ by Northumberland County Council and have frequent interactions with NCC’s Climate Change team

Community based projects

We have been supported by the Rural Design Centre (RDC) and the National Innovation Centre for Rural Enterprise (NICRE) to develop community-based projects.

Certified Carbon Literate

2 members of our steering group have been awarded Certified Carbon Literate status by the Carbon Literacy Project

Community Energy England

We are actively engaged with Community Energy England (CEE) , Regen and Community Action Northumberland (CAN) in working towards a low-/zero-carbon energy future for local communities.

Local networking

We are committed to engaging with other local, grassroots environmental groups to promote common goals and have held meetings with groups from Acomb, Felton, Fourstones, Haltwhistle, Hexham, Holy Island, Stocksfield, Wall and Wylam.
